Things to Do

One of Sammamish’s most popular parks, Pine Lake Park, consists of 19 awesome acres of forested ground with lovely views and recreational activities for everyone. Originally a private resort, King County bought it in the 1960s to become a public park. Its amenities include fishing, a boat launch and beach, docks, a basketball court, baseball and softball fields, soccer fields, barbecue grills, a lacrosse field, playgrounds, picnic spots, and trails.
 
Every Thursday for about a month in the summer, outdoor concerts of various musical styles and types perform at Pine Lake Park. Local food trucks are on site, and ice cream is sold.
 
With a primary focus on endangered species, many animals at the Cougar Mountain Zoo are born or raised at the zoo, allowing guests a clear view of the endangered animals. The zoo attempts to educate each visitor, as well as ensure a high quality of life for all of its animals.
 
The Bellevue Zip Tour provides seven zip lines flying between the trees through Eastgate Park. Two suspension bridges offer a bouncy, fun walk. Lastly, there are two short hikes through the woods of Douglas Firs, western hemlocks, broad leaf maples, and madronas.
